One of the most picturesque cities in the sub-Himalayan region is Dehradun, which is located in the picturesque Dhoon Valley at the foot of the Himalayas. About 35 kilometres from Dehradun, the "Queen of Hills" town of Mussoorie is nestled between mountains and offers stunning panoramic views.

Itinerary

  • Get picked up and driven to the hotel in a private vehicle from the Haridwar Bus Station or Railway Station.
    Check in at the hotel, then take some time to unwind before the tour of the attractions.
    A visit to temples on hills It will only be a short journey to the Chanda devi and Mansa devi temples, but taking the ropeway allows you to save walking and enjoy the city panorama.
    Both temples are called Siddh Peetha and are located on opposing sides of one another.
    Enjoy the evening by immersing yourself in the urban ambiance and taking in the Ganga Aarti ritual at Har ki Pauri, where priests offer prayers while ringing temple bells and performing fire rituals.
    Get around by others singing mantras, and float diyas and flowers in the sacred river as lights reflect off the water's surface.
    Return to the hotel later for an overnight stay in Haridwar.
     

  • Get up early to witness the captivating sight of sunlight reflecting off river water.

    After that, get to Sahastradhara, which has a thousand fold spring renowned for its water. Take a soak in the water, which is supposed to be able to treat skin conditions.
    Visit the Buddha Temple in Clement Town, one of the largest Buddhist centres in the nation, and prepare to be entranced. It is one of those Tibetan temples renowned for its enormous, ornate stupa and 103-foot-tall Buddha figure.
